May God give you His comfort and peace during these troubled times--His free and gracious gift to us because of Jesus' death on the cross and His glorious resurrection!

First Sunday in Lent

February 21, 2021

God gave up his son for us.  Nothing, not even Satan, can separate us from God's loving embrace!

Join us in person or on livestream at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKv3ogN3GZcUD5aIqOkVN8g to hear how in the Old Testament

Abraham was asked to give up his only child for God.  It is a picture of what God himself did with his only Son because he loved you and me so

much!  In the New Testament Jesus invites us to enjoy his gracious rule where the care of angels and his triumph over Satan sustain us during

our wilderness journey through this world.  God gave up his Son for us!  Nothing can break that bond of love!  Let the past haunt and the

future terrify.  We are secure and at peace in Christ!

Worship folders are available on the church door.

Return to the LORD your God

   Midweek Lent Theme

Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger

and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.  (Joel 2:13)

God's invitation and promise finds its fullness in Jesus Christ, who lived and accomplished all that God declares.

Follow different events during the Passion, specifically focusing on the people that followed Christ, to see how

God calls his people to return to him in this Lenten season.
