Three New Bible Studies

Understanding the Bible

9:30am Sunday morning Adult Bible Class (begins January 16)

We will study the Bible to better understand the Bible.  For best results, bring along your favorite Bible and a pen or pencil.

The promise of this study is that you will grow in faith and in confidence about reading and using Scripture.  The studies

over the next several weeks will address questions like:

What makes the Bible different from every other book?

What is the Bible to be used for?

Is the Bible clear?  Why does it sometimes seem difficult?

Is the Bible enough, or do we need to look somewhere else?

Why are there different interpretations and different churches?

The book of Daniel

Wednesday at 7:00pm on Zoom (begins January 12)

Daniel was a young Israelite who served the kings of Babylon and Persia during the Old Testament time of exile (500s BC).  God

used Daniel to speak truth to power.  Through prophecies God opened a window to the future of world powers and kingdoms.

God teaches us through Daniel that all world powers are under his dominion.  Best of all, Daniel includes powerful pictures

of the coming Christ and his eternal rule!  (There will be study sheets available for this class every week--see Pastor Kluball

to be put on the list to receive them online.)

Teen Class:  The Life of David

Saturdays at 4:00pm at church or at Klingbeils' home (begins January 22)

The class will begin with 1 Samuel 16 to see God's promises, power, and purposes at work in the life of this young shepherd

who would be king.  As we explore David's life in Samuel, we will look at some of the Psalms (poetry) he wrote expressing

his feelings, his struggles, and, ultimately, his faith in God no matter what he was facing in his life.

Second Sunday after the Epiphany

January 16, 2022

Christ shines forth in glory, turning gloom to gladness!

Join us in person or on livestream at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKv3ogN3GZcUD5aIqOkVN8g to hear in the Old Testament in the book

of Isaiah, the prophet rejoices that the Lord will once more make desolate Israel his beloved people.  In the New Testament in the gospel of

John Jesus revealed his glory by miraculously providing wine at a wedding banquet where the wine had run out.  Finally, the apostle Paul

in his letter to the Ephesians prays for God's people of all ages--that God will bless them with strength, power, and faith in abundance.

Worship folders are available on the church door.
